Mariane is a native of Senegal and is an accomplished dancer, singer, teacher, and experienced Drum Jam facilitator. 

Drum Jam's founder Kumi met her at a young age in her homeland, Goree Island, off Dakar, the capital of Senegal, rehearsing and performing with a National-level drum and dance troupe members. She certainly stood out with her beautiful voice, vitality and amazing dance. 

With her vibrant personality and performance skills, Mariane is excellent on stage, in classrooms and all kinds of format.  She understands the purpose and objectives of each event and shares her expertise and zest with all who are involved. 

 

Mariane has led African drum and dance workshops in numerous schools and universities in Hong Kong, Macau and China. The audience and participants cannot be without smiling as she uses her charms, great sense of humour and language skills (including some Cantonese that will make you laugh!).  

Mariane is smart, sharp, well-mannered, outgoing, responsible and much fun to be with!  She continues to inspire, engage and motivate people of all ages, nationalities and professions. 

She has birthed two young children in Hong Kong and is a wonderful mother.
